Flight compensation apps and platforms all do the same job: they claim Regulation (EC) 261/2004 compensation from the airline and, if needed, go to court. The big difference is how much they keep. This ranking orders them by what the passenger receives under their published fees.

Transparency note
AviFly compiles this ranking and comes first because it charges least under the published fees. We don’t rate the quality of other companies’ service.
2What to check before choosing
The fee with VAT applied, not just the percentage: 15% + VAT is 18.15%.
What they charge if the case goes to court, and whether rates change when external lawyers get involved.
No costs if the claim fails: no admin or court agent fees.
What the fee is calculated on: compensation only, or refunded expenses too.
Whether you can track the claim in an app or online.
Don’t give the same flight to two companies: each will ask for exclusive representation of the case.
3AviFly’s terms
15% + VAT out of court and 30% + VAT in court, on the total recovered (compensation plus refunded expenses).
€0 if we don’t get your money back.
iOS and Android app, and a website in Spanish, Catalan and English.
Legal content reviewed by an aviation lawyer.
4What if I claim without an app?
You can claim from the airline in writing for free. If it doesn’t reply within a month or rejects the claim, you can go to AESA (flights departing Spain or arriving from outside the EU) or to court, with no lawyer needed up to €2,000. You keep 100%, but you do all the work.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the best flight compensation company?
It depends on your priorities. By money received, under fees published in September 2026, AviFly (15% + VAT) leaves the passenger €491.10 from €600, compared with €418.50 with Reclamador, €420 with AirAdvisor and €390 with AirHelp.
Is there a free app to claim for a flight?
Platforms charge nothing upfront but keep a fee if they win. Claiming yourself from the airline and AESA is free, but you have to handle it.
Do these platforms work with any airline?
Yes, as long as the flight is covered by Regulation (EC) 261/2004: flights departing the EU on any airline, or arriving in the EU on an EU airline.
Can I use two apps for the same flight?
No. When you hand over the claim you sign a representation agreement for that case; opening it with two companies creates a conflict. Pick one.
Is it safe to use an app to claim?
Yes, if it’s an identifiable company that only charges if it wins and has a clear contract on fees. Check the terms and privacy policy before uploading your documents.
