1What is AviFly?
AviFly Technologies SL is a Spanish EU261 compensation company based in Vic (Barcelona). It was incorporated in May 2025, after a year building the project, and is led by José Romero Lara, an aviation lawyer with over 5 years as in-house legal counsel at international airlines.
It handles claims for delays over 3 hours, cancellations announced less than 14 days ahead, and denied boarding on flights covered by Regulation (EC) 261/2004 — from the initial claim to the airline through to, if needed, a lawsuit in the Spanish courts.
The model is no win, no fee: we review your case at no cost and only charge if you get your compensation.
2AviFly reviews: what Trustpilot says
Customer reviews are on Trustpilot, an independent review platform where you can also read the negative ones. On its public profile, AviFly has a rating of 4.1/5 from 6 reviews.
Why there aren’t many reviews yet
We’re a company incorporated in 2025, so we’ve been around for less time than competitors with over a decade in the market, meaning fewer customers have had the chance to leave a review yet. You can read all of them, including the negative ones, on our public Trustpilot profile.

Check how much I’m owed4How it works, step by step
- 1
Check whether you’re owed compensation
Enter your flight details in the free checker. We review whether it meets Regulation (EC) 261/2004’s criteria: a covered route, a delay over 3 hours, or a cancellation announced less than 14 days ahead.
- 2
Send your documents
If the claim is viable, you upload your boarding pass or flight confirmation from the app or your browser. Our team reviews the file and files the claim with the airline.
- 3
You only pay if we win
We negotiate with the airline out of court. If it refuses, the case goes to court at no extra cost to you. When the compensation arrives, we deduct our fee and transfer you the rest.
5What happens if AviFly loses your case
If the claim doesn’t succeed, either out of court or in court, you pay nothing: no upfront fee, no cost for filing the case, and no costs if we lose in court.
There’s no fixed legal deadline for a reply
Current rules don’t force the airline to reply within a set time. If it hasn’t answered within a month, or its answer doesn’t satisfy you, you can escalate for free to AESA or go to court.
6What you can do for free yourself: AESA
You don’t need a company to claim: writing to the airline is free whoever handles it.
If it hasn’t replied within a month, or its reply doesn’t satisfy you, you can go to AESA for free. For flights from 2 June 2023, Order TMA/469/2023 made AESA an alternative dispute resolution body: its decision binds the airline, and if it doesn’t pay within a month you can enforce it in court. It doesn’t bind you: if you disagree, you keep the right to go to court.
You have one year from your claim to the airline to ask AESA to step in, and it resolves cases in 90 to 180 calendar days. AESA doesn’t handle lost or damaged luggage — that’s covered by the Montreal Convention.
| Criterion | On your own through AESA | With AviFly |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | 18.15% of the compensation, only if you get paid |
| Who files and follows up the case | You | Our team |
| If the airline doesn’t pay the decision | You enforce it in court (no lawyer needed up to €2,000) | We enforce it, at no extra cost |

What happens if AviFly loses my case?
You pay nothing. The no win, no fee model means we only charge if we get you the compensation.

Yes. Claim in writing to the airline first; if it hasn’t replied within a month, or its reply doesn’t satisfy you, you can ask AESA to step in within one year. For flights from 2 June 2023, its decision is free and binds the airline (not you), and it resolves cases in 90 to 180 days. You can also go to the court of first instance. AESA doesn’t handle luggage.
